Just when you think you have seen it all, Nature can suprise you with new and more beautiful things!
A couple of days ago, as I was driving to the shops, it was raining; very large drops hítting the pavement with such force that a layer of mist was continually created just above the road surface. The late afternoon sun was low in the sky behind me, brightly shining all around me from the west where the sky was clear.
A double rainbow graced the sky ahead to my right.
As I rounded the bend, the double rainbow shifted to directly ahead of me, and the road ahead became a carpet of colour, as hundreds of mini-rainbows formed in the mist from the raindrop splatter.
I continued driving slowly, to savour the beauty, and as I moved the rainbows moved ahead of me. They were like a large number of technicolor ducklings flocking to their parent rainbows in the sky.
The baby rainbows stayed about 10 meters infront of the car, ranging out for about another 30 or 40 meters, running ahead of me as if I were herding or chasing them back to their mother.
I have always heard of people chasing rainbows, but this was the first time I had ever actually done so!
