Something I have given thought too. I líve down in different season times so Samhain is the end of summer for you but not us. It has never felt bewitching or magical to me here.... I would not mind spending a Samhain in the US to see if the feel is different. Its only over the past maybe 15 years that kids have started going around dressed up for Halloween, and I think that is for commercial reasons really, because the shops have gear to sell for the occasion now, whereas when I was young they didn't and Halloween was not recognised. But too John I think we act as portals for spírits or antenna... because my whole life has been háunted....not just a particular time of year.

You know something I would not like to spend a winter in those mountains.... and when I read the dárk long nights of winter I conjured up in my mind a winter there..... oh! :scared: Slippery roads, freezing cold, branches breaking off in the cold, powér línes breaking, ice and snow... bbbrrrrr Shivering while thinking of it.
