ONE of the first policemen to find missing woman Amanda Berry has spoken for the first time about the moment he found her alive along with two other women as "like another bombshell". Writing on the Cleveland police department blog, Officer Anthony Espada said officers had gone to the home knowing they might find Ms Berry who had been missing since 2003, but were shocked to find two other women inside. The officer described the moment as "overwhelming emotionally" when police were called to the home where Ms Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight had been held captive for years, but denied he was any sort of hero."Everybody was in the right place. It couldn't have gotten any better than that, that day," he wrote. "I don't feel like a hero. I'm just glad I was there, you know, just making sure they were safe. I feel so happy for them."The policeman said officers were at first unsure whether it was Ms Berry but soon realised it was definitely her when she came up to the driver’s side of their car.Thinking Ms Berry's captor was still inside, the officers entered the home but instead found the two other women."We figured he might possibly be in the house because she kept pointing at the house. My partner asked if anyone was still inside. She said, 'Yes. Gina DeJesus and another girl.' And it was like another bombshell with overwhelming force just hit me."They soon found Michelle Knight first who "popped out of a doorway" while Ms DeJesus appeared from another room.Describing the moment he held the two women in his arms, he wrote: "She (Ms Knight) jumped onto me…. She's like, 'You saved us! You saved us!' And I'm holding onto her so tight. And then within a few seconds I see another girl come out of the bedroom. "I mean it took everything to hold myself together. You know, I have Michelle in my arms…. And then you got Gina coming out. It was like one bombshell after another. That's when I broadcasted, '2Adam23, we found them! We found them!'
