Hi Pen;

Your distaste for IE simply demonstrates an understanding of how computer programs are supposed to work at some inherent level. That's all. I noticed that some people who are completely illiterate regarding computers have this ability. I have no explanation for why this is the case. It seems that some people know when something is wrong, irregardless of experience. An elderly lady who talked about computers like they were a form of Black Magic or something possessed this ability, so I guess you could say that some people can relate to an artificial intelligence as if it were real. This type of individual is definitely not the norm though, so consider yourself a member of a select, elite group. You undoubtedly understand these machines far better than you let on. Perhaps better than you even realize.

I rarely open IE. I only did so yesterday to determine whether or not there was a browser incompatibility taking place, and apparently there was. But that in no way means that I believe the problem is solved. Only that some ad developer is using the SDK (special developer's kit) for Internet Explorer, nothing more. As I said earlier, everything is fine today, so there's probably some system setting that IE allowed allowed access to that I need to find and change back.

In other words, my discovery was a warning to not use IE, and explain why most people don't experience the problems we've been having. A lot of people, the vast majority actually, don't tinker with their system settings at all. It would be unlikely that they would experience anything at all. They are oblivious to the fact that they have been targeted.

My reasons for going into such detail about this is that if I were a Yuku tech, I would want to know when some ad was making the site a pain to use for some people. Since I had a definite time for when it showed up, it could have made the guilty ad easy to find. I figured that if you started experiencing problems again, then maybe you would want to pass the information along. If they turned out to be interested in my observations, I would be happy to answer their questions. I've been there before, and know how much of a pain it can be. I also know how much of a pain it can be when somebody tries to tell you your job, so I would never contact them with advice. Instead I would simply let them contact me if they are interested. It's not really a big deal either way, even though it can be exasperating when the problem is taking place. If there's one thing that's required where computers are concerned, it's patience.
