Hi Pen,
What is so sad, is that Falun Gong isn't even a religion! It has it's own beliefs but it is more like Tai Chi (exercises) than a religion. Too empowéring, I suppose...
Last eve on 'the Natíonal' (CBC news), Peter Mansbridge did a tele-interview (or TRIED to) with the Chinese ambassador. I had to admire his patients as he could not get a straight answer from the man. I would have tried to reach through the monitor and choke him! How can people be so blaise about human life and rights? Dick Cheney pretty much summed it up. When asked about his un-popular war and deaths in Iraq, he so eloquently replied "so?".
The U.S. applies the "believe what we believe..." atitude to all but Israel.
One of the richest countries there is, yet we send them more foreign aid than anywhere else. After 40 yrs of paying them to kill Islams, how could
911 cóme as a suprise? I certainly do NOT condone such actions but when one looks at it logically it is the only way a 'mouse' could try to defend itself against an 'eagle'. I guess one needs to take the attitude that sometimes 'killing is justified' to be able to comprehend and deal with the way the world is, I just can't do that, so I'll just keep b&*%ing.
BTW, I don't take offense to the "S" word. (shuddup). So feel free to use it.
Light BW/U,
Thoth
