I'll have to stop and think that one through a long bit. The most I've ever read in this arena is a couple of the Castaneda works. I never even made it all the way through Be Here Now, if that one even applies. I did speak with a couple of the Cherokee Medicine Men/Shamans when I was a teen just to explore my heritage some, but not many of those still exist, so I tend to question how many of these arts they still practiced? It was their practical application towards medicine that amazed me. I know their reputation as being the most advanced tribe, but some of the things they could do were indeed amazing.
