I'll bet. I know we've hauled enough people around for this. Sometimes it doesn't take right, and needs redone, but that has become extremely rare these days. My sister is the worst horror story I've ever heard, but she had her's done way back in the late 1970s when they first started doing this procedure. And yes, they did correct that problem. They also corrected her eyesight to a point where she can see .............. and she had something like 20/750 vision before they did it. That's way past legally blind. Today she can even drive.

Sounds like they've really come up with something wonderful, does it not? I guess you will still have the nearsighted thing, but I have that, and I also have 20/10 vision. I'm happy for you Pen, wearing glasses everywhere must really be a pain in the posterior. The fact that they were able to get my sister to the point where she can drive? Makes it sound like you can expect great things, does it not?

So, when can I expect to see something similar for the ears? Twenty two years of running very large chain saws has left me more than clinically deaf, and hearing aids amplify everything, not just what you need to hear. Jeff said it best. Getting old sucks. Think I'm going to start a falling apart club up here.174364a82146b94cb96bfaa7a0961391d6febf8f_s
Hi Tim

What a big day yesterday..... shopping, doctors and Edd's birthday dinner..... We were exhausted last night.  Once that much activity would have been nothing to us.... but now.... it just about shatters us..... as we age we have less and less energy left to keep the body going at maximum strength.  By the time we reach 50 people have sucked enough energy from us to kill us.....  without the energy to sustain us our bodies become diseased and body parts start failing us.  Ever wonder why people who are sociopaths seem to live longer lives? Take Soros for instance..... No emotions, no conscience means they don't use up their energy....

A falling apart club?  A6516f21b5baf6aa1edfe067594de621ed3b4785_s  When we start missing body parts too..... yeah good idea..... smiley: laugh

You going deaf Tim.....?  I have been deaf for so long now.....  I suffer from Tinnitus and I believe the hearing aids sent me deafer.  I haven't been able to wear them for a long time now because I kept getting fungal infections in my ears.  I just gave up.  My deafness was caused by first.... being a telephonist on a busy plug telephone exchange when young.... and second working for long years on phones.  Some of the high pitched sounds that came through the head phones on the old plug boards was excruciatingly painful which has damaged my ear drums and people yelling at me over the phone and smashing their phones down like little spoilt children when you don't tell them what they want to hear.  smiley: eyes
