Yes, we live in a pop culture world these days, so these industries are no longer free to do as they please. I'm sure they will scream about restricting creativity, and infringing on artistic license. My response to that is that they should have considered all possible ramifications very carefully, before they chose to place sensitive political issues at the center of every plot. If you decide that you want to influence things to as high a degree as they are shooting for, then you must share in the responsibility of making sure it is done fairly, and responsibly. They need to gag their actors on topics like this as well. Actors have a strong tendency to think they are experts on a given issue, simply because they have played parts where they were exactly that on stage or screen. In reality, they live in a make believe world that's so overwhelming that it's common for actors to develop identity crises. This is not the type of individual that the media needs to be wasting column space on. They need to start opting for real experts instead.
